So far - my favorites are Crystal and Casey.
I know we're not even up to the final Top 12 yet - still Top 20 - but I was a bit surprised with some of the eliminations this week.
Ashley - I'm surprised she tanked as badly as she did. But then again.. don't sing a Leona Lewis song unless you sing it better than she can! She's Simon's find from the X Factor so he's always going to criticize someone if they sing one of her songs. Anyway, after hearing her perform and listening to what the judges said, I'm not surprised that she got booted.
Janell - I'm stunned that she's out! I thought she was really, really good - although a song by Heart wasn't a good idea. She has a pretty, melodic voice - not that kind of powerful, belting voice that Ann Wilson has.
Joe - Not surprised at all. He was pretty good, but he had hardly any time on camera.
Tyler - I'm surprised that he got booted, but it's okay. He wasn't one of my favorites. His rock shtick was getting a bit old and tired.
Any other thoughts?

He's cute, and I like his voice, although he didn't have a great week this week. I'd give him another shot, but Simon's right - he has to get his nerves under control.
) But I'd give her another shot, because her rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow during Hollywood Week was phenomenal.
