Sharon & Warner

Personally I think Warner people is not doing their best, at least here in Spain. If it wasn't for this forum, and Sharon's website, probably I wouldn't know anything about Sharon album. And so happens with the remix of EGTLS released here, I haven't heard anything of this release apart from the forum.
What do you guys think about the job Warner is doing with Sharon?

It's hard to tell, because a lot of what they're doing may be behind the scenes. Don't forget, Warner may be trying to get Sharon's music out there in other ways, but if it's not working and we don't see it happening, we can't assume that it's for lack of trying.

On the other hand, maybe they've kind of put this album on the shelf since it wasn't an instant smash.

I'd be interested to know how the sales positions compare for Sharon's album and Andrea's Ten Feet High - I'd imagine they're similar at the moment. Sharon's may have more mileage in it if Warner are still pushing it, whereas Atlantic had pulled the plug on TFH by this stage.

well who knows what's going on between them... but i think it was better for Sharon before signing with Warner. She did a lot of promo on her own (remember the radio tour in UK and Ireland and all the acoustic of INAD and Over It) and she gave a few important concerts (Isle of Wight, Women of Rock, Hotpress show, Glastonbury and the concert with Horselips)... apart from this, i think itwas Warner who decided not to include "Over It" and "Ears Painted On" in the album

When she had total control over her album it was just better and we probably have had a tour already ;) i just think they Record Company (even if they have good intentions to promote the album) don't really help.
Sharon really knows what she does and they music she likes and the music she wants to show...
I haven's slept at all in days...
It's been so long since we've talked

Well, that's show business. 8-)
This subject (Warner Music) is well above our knowledge. We are just consumers, not producers of music.
The AzureDrake would be more powerful were it not so easily distracted.
